This basic bathroom in Port Coquitlam is about to become a Bat Cave 🦇 Part 1 of 3

Here's what we started with: an old tub, dated tile and pastel walls. So it all came out. The tub, the tile, the drywall… right down to the studs. 🔨

Then new framing:
✅ Built-in shower bench
✅ Shower niche
✅ New ledge wall behind the toilet

Water pooling around this cedar tub? Not anymore. 💧

Tile reconstruction in a commercial space in Port Moody, and when we pulled the tub out, we found mushrooms growing underneath 🍄😅

Here's what we did:
✅ Protected the site
✅ Disconnected the cedar tub
✅ Tore out the old tile and center drain
✅ Installed a Schluter membrane
✅ Re-sloped the floor to the drain, so no more pooling
✅ Set a brand-new linear drain
✅ New tile + fresh grout
✅ Reinstalled the tub and left it spotless

Now the water goes exactly where it should. 🙌

From hidden rot to a frameless glass shower. 🚿

What was hiding behind these bathroom walls? Rot and hidden water damage. So we took it down to the studs, then reframed, insulated and re-plumbed it the right way. New drywall, fresh paint, and real waterproofing before a single tile went on.

The finish: frameless glass, matte black fixtures, a built-in niche, a new faucet and a freshly repainted vanity. Built to last. 🐝

Before → after in Anmore, BC: from an older kitchen to a brighter, more functional space.

The homeowner had already selected their materials and some trades. SturdyBee joined the project to help coordinate the work and complete key parts of the renovation: demolition, island modifications, tile installation, lighting updates, painting and finishing.

This rooftop BBQ in downtown Vancouver was worn out. So the BBQ came out, the tools went in, and our team rebuilt it from the framing up, several stories above the city:

THE FINAL STRETCH! 🚿✨

We’re almost at the finish line on this full bathroom renovation!

From uncovering unexpected water damage and replacing rotted framing to building a brand-new custom shower, this project has come a long way! 🔨

The tile work is complete, the finishing touches are coming together, and we’re down to the last couple of steps.
