Now Hiring – Multiple Shop Positions

ISC is excited to announce that we are expanding our team, with three new positions being created:

Fabricator ($30–$40/hr)

Fabricate aluminum structures, signs, and components

Read shop drawings/blueprints

Proficient with hand & power tools, shear, and sheet metal break
Skilled in GMAW aluminum welding (spool gun), with occasional steel/dual shield welding

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Painter ($30–$38/hr)

Industrial/automotive spray painting experience required

Knowledge of BASF and Mathews paint systems a plus

Surface prep, sanding, and finishing techniques

Experience with pneumatic orbital sanders

Assembler / Shop Helper ($20–$30/hr)

Assembly, finishing, sanding, cleaning, and prep work

Use adhesives, tapes, fasteners, caulking, and sealing methods

Assist in paint prep, vinyl/plastic cutting, and light wiring

Able to lift 50 lbs and move shop materials

General shop support across departments

Happy holidays to everyone in the Tri-Cities and Metro Vancouver! For the fourth year in a row, our team is pleased to have partnered with YWCA Metro Vancouver's Presents of Peace campaign to make Christmas brighter for two single mother-led families in our community. From shopping to wrapping presents to in-person delivery, virtually our entire team volunteered their time and effort to this - our team's favourite - worthwhile local initiative.

For the second year in a row, we are pleased to announce that ISC is and !

ISC remains, to our knowledge, the only signage manufacturer in North America to have achieved this important milestone.

Thanks to BMO Radicle and their awesome team for helping us to find new ways to lower our carbon footprint. Among all of the data points and findings their team identified:

-Our team now generates 31.3% less emissions per employee compared with 2019, thanks to our light-duty fleet electrification, facility upgrades and wide range of waste reduction initiatives

-Relative to production, ISC is now fully 50% less carbon intensive than in 2019, allowing us to lower our carbon footprint while producing more great products than ever before

-While we have come a long way, we have set the ambitious target of eliminating all fossil fuels from our heating and heavy duty fleet - more on this to come!

Thanks to our dedicated team for pushing us to continuously find new ways to push the envelope environmentally.

Happy Thanksgiving! Just in time for the long weekend, ISC is pleased to have made $25 per employee quarterly donations to the following awesome food-focused Lower Mainland initiatives, as selected by our team:

1. The incredible Backpack Buddies Program, always an ISC favourite
2. The critically important Greater Vancouver Food Bank
3. Food Stash Foundation, a very cool example of impactful community innovation
4. For the first time, The People's Pantry Food Recovery Society

For anyone looking to support local initiatives over Thanksgiving, we highly recommend learning more about and supporting all four of these organizations, which help to strengthen our local communities.

A huge thanks to the Sign Association of Canada for this exciting national recognition of the Simon Fraser Universitygateway sign!

Designed by EDG Experience Design Group Inc., once it hit our shop this sign involved more than a month of full-time 3D CAD and design engineering, incredibly intricate and complex digitization and fabrication, and working around some unique and challenging P.Eng. site specifics.

After many long days of hard work, our team was proud to complete final installation slightly in advance of the fall semester start date. The result: a 2.5 story-tall monument sign that landmarks a very impressive university building and campus in Metro Vancouver.

Thanks to each and every one of our team members and project stakeholders, including EDG and SFU, for helping to bring this ambitious monument sign concept to life!

Our team is pleased to announce that we are finalists for two national awards, for Canada's sign company of the year and Canada's best freestanding sign. Results will be announced this Friday at Sign Expo in Toronto.

Thanks to our incredible clients, including Simon Fraser University, whose EDG Experience Design Group Inc.-designed project is named for Canada's best freestanding sign, for making this recognition possible.

It's that time again! As we do every quarter, our team selected a range of Tri-Cities and Lower Mainland-focused initiatives to support with a $25 donation made on behalf of each and every ISC employee.

The worthy causes selected by our team include the incredible Backpack Buddies, Access Youth (https://accessyouth.org/) and, for the first time, Vancouver-based Food Stash Foundation.

Thanks to all those involved with these awesome organizations for everything they do to keep our communities vibrant and supportive, especially for youth and families.

ACCESS Youth is a nonprofit organization that provides mobile youth outreach programs in Coqutilam, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam and the TriCtiies area.
