Even the parts you don’t see get the same attention.

This pad will carry a 26KW Generac standby generator and 1000L propane tank —critical infrastructure for the home, especially on a site like this.

Got back on the tools for this one with the crew—keeping a hand in the work and making sure the standard stays where it should be.

Proper base prep, clean forming, tight finish, built for the long term.

It’s a small piece of the project, but it reflects how we approach everything we build.

We didn’t go to JLC Live just to walk the floor.

One of our crew ended up jumping straight into a live demo with the presenters—which pretty well sums up the whole trip.

Getting hands-on, asking questions, seeing better ways to build… that’s where the real value is.

A lot of sharp ideas, solid conversations, and a few things we’ll definitely be bringing back into our builds this year.

Always worth stepping away from the day-to-day to sharpen up.

International Builders Show 2026 in Orlando did not disappoint.

A few days spent learning, connecting, and seeing what’s next in building science, materials, and design. Always valuable stepping away from the day-to-day to sharpen the saw and bring fresh thinking back to our projects.

From building envelope details and new products to great conversations with builders and suppliers from across North America — lots of takeaways we’ll be implementing into our upcoming custom homes and large-scale renovations.
