Hey there, awesome Facebook family! 👋

This week I'm thrilled to share with you all my recent venture into the world of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) heat pumps. This system now provides heating and cooling for an entire school :)

Consisting of multiple indoor units connected to a single outdoor unit, VRF technology is like the maestro of HVAC systems, orchestrating heating and cooling with unparalleled precision.

Unlike traditional HVAC systems that use a fixed amount of refrigerant, VRF systems consist of variable-speed compressors which allows for precise control over the amount of refrigerant flowing to each of the indoor units.

Each indoor unit is installed in a different zone (or room) within the building. These units are able to operate independently, providing a more individualized temperature control.

Known for their energy efficiency and flexibility, VRF systems have the ability to manage temperature zones and adjust their capacity based on demand.

Thanks to CleanBC, BC Hydro, and a Canada Greener Homes grant, this customer was able to receive $11,000 back on their heat pump installation.

They also received a lifetime tank warranty after upgrading to a Rheem Marathon electric hot water tank.
