First of all, thank you to the Prince Rupert Chamber and to our community for this incredible honour. Being nominated and being recognized alongside so many outstanding businesses tonight, truly means a lot to us.

Harbour Machining has been part of this community since 1979, when it started as a small family-run machine shop with just four or five employees. Today, we’re proud to have a team of 25 skilled employees - including Red Seal Machinists, Metal Fabricators, Carpenters, Welders, Millwrights, and Heavy-Duty Industrial Mechanics.

But what really makes our team special is that their abilities go far beyond their trades. Our crew brings incredible knowledge in project management, logistics, problem solving, and adapting to the changing needs of our growing community.

This recognition really belongs to our team. Their dedication to quality, customer service, and supporting local industry is what keeps Harbour Machining moving forward.

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Administrative Coordinator to join our team for a 12 - 18 month maternity leave coverage. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in a very busy, fast-paced, team-based environment while overseeing the day-to-day office tasks. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who excels at multitasking.

In addition to managing the daily office tasks and all aspects of the administrative duties, the Administration Coordinator role provides ongoing support to the Shop Foreman and the Operations Coordinator throughout the day. This person must possess strong organizational and communication skills and have the ability to establish positive working relationships. The candidate must be goal-orientated and thrives in handling multiple responsibilities & duties under tight deadlines.

The applicant must be available for work Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm.

With the Prince Rupert Port Authority matching every donation, this means an extraordinary $10,000 will go directly to supporting our hospital! 💪💖

100% of these funds are dedicated to fighting cancer and providing critical help to those in need.
