✨ Doing the right thing matters—even when nobody is watching.

The other day I had a builder tell me two things that stopped me in my tracks:
👉 First, he wanted us to install screw piles at a rate that wasn’t sustainable for our business.
👉 Second, when I questioned his request to use second-hand oilfield pipe instead of brand-new certified material, his response was: “The City doesn’t check anyway, so why do you care?”

Here’s why we care 👇
Because foundations matter. Safety matters. People’s homes and lives sit on top of the work we do. Cutting corners might save a few dollars today, but it can cost so much more tomorrow.

And the punchline? This was the second time he’s called us—because the installer he’s been using for years no longer services him. There’s a reason for that.

At Screw Pile Pros, we believe in doing the right thing even if it costs us the job. We won’t compromise our values, our integrity, or the safety of the people we build for.

The rich irony? This was coming from someone building multi-million-dollar homes while trying to bottom-dollar his trades.

Flying High with Pride!

Today was a momentous occasion as our first home was successfully craned onto our screw piles. After working the last month on this brand new subdivision in Conklin, AB we felt the utter sense of accomplishment as our work has come full circle. We began working on this project in 2021 and today begins the final step of our part in this project being brought to completion.

At Screw Pile Pros we always say, "We are engineered company because everything we do starts with an engineering principle." Engineering plays a very important role in our company. International Women in Engineering Day this year was celebrated on June 23rd. This is a day to celebrate the accomplishments of women in engineering, inspire the next generation of female engineers, and promote gender diversity in STEM fields. By recognizing the contributions of women in engineering and supporting their career development, we can create a more inclusive and equitable future for the engineering profession.

It was first launched in 2014 by the Women’s Engineering Society (WES) in the United Kingdom. Since then, the day has gained international recognition and is now celebrated in countries around the world. The goal of the day is to promote gender diversity in engineering and address the underrepresentation of women in the industry.

“Breaking barriers, exceeding expectations.” Women in engineering are redefining what’s possible. We celebrate women in engineering not only on this day but everyday in our company.
