This week I invested in something that doesn’t show up on a blueprint… but impacts every job site.

Our entire leadership team went through DISC assessment training alongside the team from .electrical.services

In construction, we talk a lot about systems, efficiency, and ex*****on.
But if you don’t understand the people running the system you’re missing the point.

Every leader is wired differently.
Every crew member is motivated differently.
Every conflict usually starts with miscommunication not bad intentions.

DISC helped us step back and ask:

• How does each person handle pressure?
• How do they prefer feedback?
• What drives them?
• What shuts them down?

When you understand how your people are built, you stop leading everyone the same way.

You start leading them well.

Strong teams aren’t built by accident.
They’re built by leaders who are willing to grow first.

Proud of our leadership crew for leaning in and doing the work.

About a week ago, our team took a step back from the rush of production and focused on what really matters building people.

We spent two days on-site with our apprentices, walking them through each stage of framing a new build not just showing them how to do it, but why it matters. Every wall, every layout line, every cut was a chance to pass on knowledge that’s slowly disappearing in our industry.

The truth is, we’re facing a real challenge there’s a shortage of skilled tradespeople. Fewer young people are stepping into the trades, and too often we hear frustration about the “younger generation” that they don’t have the same work ethic or drive.

But instead of criticizing, why not change that?
What if we took the time to mentor, teach, and believe in them? What if we showed them the pride that comes from building something real with their own hands?

At KaiViTi Construction, that’s what we’re about. Our vision isn’t just to build homes it’s to mentor and coach the next generation of tradespeople.
To pass on not just the skill, but the mindset, the discipline, and the integrity that make this trade more than just a job it’s a craft, a calling, and a legacy.

Because the truth is, the trades aren’t for everyone it’s hard work. But someone has to do it.
And the ones who step up, who take pride in their craft, and who lead with character they’re the ones who will keep this industry alive.

These young men and women are the future leaders of construction. And the way we invest in them today will define what this industry looks like tomorrow.
