☀️ School’s Almost Out … Let’s Talk Concrete Truck Safety ☀️
With warmer weather here and summer break just around the corner, more kids are outside walking, biking, playing, and spending time near roads and construction areas.
That makes it a great time to remind children about staying safe around large trucks, including ready-mix concrete trucks 🚧
Concrete trucks have large blind spots, and drivers may not be able to see:
➡️ directly in front of the truck
➡️ directly behind it
➡️ along both sides of the vehicle
A few important reminders for kids:
✔️ Never run or play near moving trucks
✔️ Stay well back when a truck is turning or backing up
✔️ Make eye contact with the driver if possible
✔️ Don’t bike or walk too close beside large vehicles
✔️ Be extra careful near construction zones and fresh concrete pours
