Our ancestors discovered and started using copper about six to seven thousand years ago. The pattern engraving is extremely sophisticated, and the techniques of mixed casting, split casting, casting joining, and overlapping casting are very mature. The subsequent development of the lost wax process technology that does not require separate casting is undoubtedly another pinnacle of the bronze casting process.
