Countertop fabrications shop on Mitchell Island is looking for a long-term employee to join our team.
We are looking for a person to join our in-house fabrication team.
Experience is not necessary. We will be willing to provide on the job paid training to the right candidate.
Duties include but not limited to:
- water polishing
- a willingness to learn and assist in other areas of the shop help as needed.
We provide all you need for tools and PPE, you will need your own CSA steel toed boots.
Minimal lifting required as we use over cranes in our facilities.
Construction experience, first aid and forklift license is an asset but not necessary as we will arrange these for you as needed.
Canadian Work permit is required.
Hours are Monday - Friday (7am - 3pm )
Training Wages start at $21.00 Wages will go to $24.00/hr. after 3 months if you are demonstrating the ability/willingness to learn, take directions well and show up on time.

We celebrate Chinese New Year every year at work. Roasted pig, lunch provided to staff , what a wonderful way to bring in the new Year. Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar and solar Chinese calendar. Responsibilities:
-Use a hand-held grinder, water polisher, and basic hand tools
-Profile and polish edges as required
-Read and interpret company production drawings

Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Detail Orientated
Waterproof Rubber Steel Toed Work Boots
Experience in Stone fabrication is an asset
Strong communication skills
Physically fit - the ability to lift and push heavy items
Stand for extended periods of time

We are looking for a reliable person who can perform various shop duties in our fabrication shop. Will be responsible for assisting our back shop doing various jobs as needed. Warehouse duties as needed and entering daily inventory into computer. Must have computer skills, able to lift 50 pounds, good communication skills. Drivers licence is necessary and preference will be given to those that have a current forklift ticket.
