J.W. Bastian Contracting Inc. is hiring a General Labourer for the 2026 summer season. Our company is based out of Russell, Ontario.
This role focuses on grass cutting and trimming for City of Ottawa contracts across the east end. If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and being part of a solid crew, this is a great fit.
Start Date: May 2026
Wage: Starting at $18/hour (based on experience, with room to grow)
What you’ll be doing:
• Grass cutting and trimming
• General outdoor labour
• Working as part of a team to maintain municipal properties
What we’re looking for:
• Reliable and hardworking
• Comfortable working outdoors in all summer conditions
• Positive attitude and team mindset
• Experience is an asset, but not required
