New blog post!

The Estuary and Gulf of St. Lawrence (EGSL) is one of the largest and most productive estuarine/marine systems in the world. However, the EGSL is experiencing rapid changes to water conditions, including acidification, associated with climate change much faster than global averages. We interviewed Dr. Martine Lizotte (DFO), on her important work to monitor the changes in the EGSL and its real-world impacts on the vital ecosystems and fisheries in the region.

Nouvel article !

Happening tomorrow! We're excited to see momentum building for action in Canada!

The side event, “Taking Science and Policy Action on Ocean Acidification” will occur on November 18 between 12:15pm-1:00pm at the Canadian Pavilion.

Hosted by the and , the event will spotlight actions taken across countries and emphasize the importance of addressing ocean acidification as part of the broader blue economy, including for seafood sovereignty and the sustainability of coastal livelihoods.

The event will begin with a viewing of our short film, “Changing Waters: Time for Action on Ocean Acidification” and remarks from Associate Assistant Deputy Minister Michael Bonser, Environment and Climate Change, Canada.

A panel discussion will follow with:

Mr. George Rushingisha Majagi, Researcher, Tanzanian Fisheries Research Institute (TAFIRI)

Mr. Anthony Bitegeko, Natural Resource Policy Analyst, Makah Tribal Organization
