Plate 2000 (P2K) was born from its founder’s hands-on experience in concrete finishing. While still in school, he worked as a finisher during school vacations, gaining a deep understanding of the trade.
In 2000, together with his father-in-law, Claude Latulippe, he seized an opportunity to acquire equipment. They began manufacturing trowels in a family garage and selling them locally. In its very first year, the company got off to a strong start, selling 3,000 trowels and around 100 pans—an impressive achievement considering the modest resources and the use of recycled materials.
In 2003, the company expanded beyond the garage and was officially established, experiencing rapid growth across Quebec and then throughout Canada. Two years later, in 2005, P2K developed its first partnerships in the United States, which remain strong and trusted relationships to this day.
Driven by a desire to make the demanding work of finishers easier, the company focuses on designing durable and high-performance tools. Since 2018, it has placed a strong emphasis on research and development, continuously innovating in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
Today, Plate 2000 is recognized for the quality of its products and aims to become a global leader in the manufacturing of concrete finishing tools, while continuing to diversify its offerings and provide ongoing support to its customers.
