During the operation, police safely arrested a 44-year-old man, and a 25-year-old man, both from Summerville. The 44-year-old man was remanded into custody until his court appearance scheduled for April 7, 2026. The 25-year-old man was later released from custody on conditions.

On April 7, 2026, 44-year-old Frederick (BJ) Raynes appeared in Saint John Provincial Court and was charged with:
-possession of stolen property over $5000 (5 counts)

He was remanded into custody and is scheduled to return to court on April 23, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.

CTV News has a story on the thefts that have been happening recently on the Peninsula. John was contacted about participating in the story but it was a busy day so didn't have time for an interview. Likely for the best as his whole bit would likely have just been a bunch of BLEEPS.

If you have seen or know something PLEASE SPEAK UP!!!

This morning at 3:30am our Kawasaki Mule (4010 Trans Diesel) was stolen from Yip Cider by 2 people on an ATV coming from the Neck road direction and towing the mule back up the road that way. If anyone knows anything about this please let us know. We would love to get our Mule home- she is an integral part of our business for landscaping, orchard work, and hauling people from the dock to the taproom.
