We often repeat this because it lies at the heart of our practice : 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗽𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲.

Behind every woven branch are patient hands, attentive eyes, countless adjustments and, above all, presence. Willow weaving is a craft of precision, but also of trust. Each gesture builds upon the last until hundreds of individual branches become one unified form.

This sculpture carries the imprint of everyone who helped bring it to life. 🤝

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible weaving team. Odrée and Joanie, your craftsmanship, patience and dedication are woven into every branch. We are truly grateful to have you with us.

Special thanks to Valmedia for the amazing picture ;)

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 is the meeting of two artistic perspectives, brought together through a shared creative practice.

Mathieu brings his expertise in monumental sculpture, technical innovation, and the ability to transform ambitious ideas into lasting structures. His approach is rooted in craftsmanship, engineering, and a deep understanding of materials.

Justine approaches each project through symbolism, storytelling, and the relationship between sculpture, landscape, and human experience. Her work explores how an artwork can evoke emotion, create meaning, and invite reflection.

Where these two approaches meet is where Kadriform finds its voice. 🙏

Every sculpture begins with an intention, but never with all of the answers. As the work unfolds, it asks questions of us as much as we ask questions of it. We listen, we adapt, and little by little, the piece reveals what it is meant to become.

Around that evolving vision, an extraordinary team of artists and craftspeople helped shape every detail of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆. Their talent, patience, and dedication are woven into every branch, every weld, and every gesture.

We are honoured to have shared this journey together.

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒌𝒆𝒏 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕

The fused glass piece is both the literal and symbolic heart of the sculpture. During firing, it cracked in two. 💔

The unexpected break brought a wave of emotions, and it was ultimately the very theme of the artwork that offered us a way forward : to remain present with our own pain rather than trying to erase it. 🧘

Together with Catherine Venne, we decided to attempt one final firing—a slow, extremely hot process that would return the glass to a molten state in the hope that it might heal itself. Glass has its own rules and its own limits, so the outcome remained uncertain.
The open-heart operation was a success.

The fracture fused back together, leaving behind a permanent scar.
And perhaps that became its greatest lesson. After all, every heart that has truly loved carries scars. They reveal the passing of time and the choices that shape us.

Today, that scar is part of the sculpture's story. What first felt like a setback ultimately gave the work a depth it may never have found otherwise.

We all wear a face meant for the world. 🎭

Sometimes it reassures. Sometimes it protects. It responds to the expectations of others—or perhaps to what we imagine those expectations to be. 🤔

A mask is not necessarily a lie. Sometimes, it is simply the way we keep moving forward when words fail us.

In 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, the mask speaks to the tension between what we reveal and what we choose to keep within.
What does it truly mean to be present? Does it require the courage to remove the mask, even for a brief moment? What are the consequences of such a gesture, and when is it the right thing to do?

These were some of the questions that accompanied us throughout the making of this sculpture. 🙏

For 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, we wanted to explore a material that could bring both depth and elegance to the sculpture.🌹

That is where Catherine Venne's work became an essential part of the project. A glass artist and blacksmith from Quebec's Lanaudière region, she was the perfect collaborator for our ambition of blending different artistic mediums. Her sensitive approach to kiln-formed glass gave birth to the heart of the sculpture : a luminous element that feels deeply alive.

For us, creating a sculpture collaboratively means accepting that it becomes greater than our own individual practice. It means trusting fellow artists to give it another voice.

For more than 25 years, Kadriform has created sculptures designed for gardens, parks and public spaces—works that foster a dialogue between people and the landscapes. 🌬️🌺

𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 marks a new chapter. It is the very first work we created specifically for a gallery setting. This new context allowed us to explore a different rhythm, a different scale, and a more intimate approach to working with living materials. 🌿

More contemplative and introspective, the piece invites visitors to come closer, observe its details, and take the time to simply feel.
For us, this sculpture represents much more than a new project. It marks the beginning of a new creative territory. After more than two decades refining our technical craft, we feel ready to share something more personal—our own artistic voice, our own message.

We can't wait to share it with you !!

At Kadriform, many sculptures begin with long conversations.

Before a work finds its place in a landscape, before a shape is sketched on paper, there are meetings, ideas, doubts, repeated gestures... and, quite often, unexpected moments that completely change its story. 🔥

Over the coming weeks, we'd like to take you behind the scenes of our latest creation : 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒚 𝒐𝒇 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆.

We'll introduce the artists who helped bring it to life, the symbols woven into the work, the challenges we encountered along the way, and the creative process that shaped it from its earliest sketches to its final unveiling.

Because a sculpture always tells a story that goes far beyond what meets the eye.

Welcome to its story. 🙏
