Jeri and Alison Sparshu are both Certified Journeyman Farriers with over 30 years experience between them. Both have taught horseshoeing at the college level (Olds and Kwantlen), and Jeri was employed by Spruce Meadows for 11 years, as a member of the team that was onsite for all the Summer Series and Masters tournaments, he had the opportunity to work on many of the top horses of the world. Their

new joint venture includes the artwork that they also create. Designs and concepts ranging though many different mediums. Steel, copper, aluminum, wood, titanium, clay, leather, nearly any material. Creating furniture, art, curiosities, jewelry, some horseshoes of course. Their new studio on Salt Spring Island will be home to creation of all kinds. If you have any ideas of something you'd like to see come to life just ask!

Needed a way to punch 1 1/4” round bar for 1” round to pass through for a garden railing build. Many of the posts will be receiving the horizontal rail at 14 degrees from level. Needed to figure it@out. So I built a 14 degree, 50lb bolster to sit on my 157lb striking anvil. Seems to work. Also when you turn the steel@over yo@punch from the back side the hole is pointing the wrong way, so it gets swapped and for end every pass. . .

Another amazing spring clinic here at Thistle Rock Forge. Folks traveling from Manitoba, Alberta, BC, Oregon to attend weekend that has become gathering of a family. Huge gratitude for everyone who showed up. Alison () and Kelly for the amazing food which keeps us all going, without this the clinic wouldn’t run near as smoothly! for all his knowledge and help with prep and scampering about in the midst of the chaos. Scott and Pia at for the use of their forges, also a key part of the clinic working. , you showed up and joined in and were huge help, many thanks! David from , the content and honest approach to your art was fantastic. You are a blessing and your presentation was so easily metabolized by all the different levels of skill in attendance.
