In order to be ready , you have to know what to do!- especially in our Prairie winters!!🥶⛄️

❄️ Inspect & clean out gutters.
Remove leaves and debris to prevent ice dams. Ensure downspouts direct water away from the foundation.
✨️Don't forget your downspouts, too!

❄️ Check windows & door seals.
Inspect for drafts and apply weather stripping or caulking to seal gaps. 🌬

❄️ Remove any blockages or debris from outdoor vents.
This helps your furnace run more efficiently in the winter. Also, reducing the risk for backdrafting causing damages to your furnace, potentially leading to costly repairs.

❄️ Winterize outdoor faucets & hoses
Disconnect hoses, drain them, and store them indoors. Shut off and insulate outdoor faucets to prevent freezing. 🧊

❄️ Clean chimney & fireplaces*
If you use a fireplace, have it professionally cleaned to prevent chimney fires and ensure proper ventilation.🔥

"When we were planning the closet and lay out of our bedroom, I didn't want laundry baskets to be seen! But the challenge we faced was that the closet was built in. It's not its own room. I wanted to have 3 separate baskets because I sort the laundry - NO SHADE if you don't! 🤭

Kieran came up with this simple little solution. Making the dirty laundry its own cabinet with 3 simple shelves to slide the baskets in and out! I will NEVER NOT put this in a closet!" - Kieran's VERY happy wife 🩷😂
