Meet Brandon, one of our Fabricator/Welders who has been with STC Industrial Group for 8 years. His role includes fabricating, welding, and occasionally stepping into a crew management role when needed. He enjoys seeing projects come to life, from a pile of steel to a finished product.

Brandon chose to work in the trades because of the high demand and the opportunity to build a hands-on career.

Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, playing guitar, video games, and attending live sports. He is also a big Rush and Berries fan.

What makes STC Industrial Group a great place to work:
“Good positive work culture.”

His advice for anyone joining the team:
“Show up, work hard, be humble, and you’ll be successful.”

Favourite motto:
“Whether you think you can, or can’t, you are correct.”

This week, members of the STC Industrial Group team were honoured to attend Treaty Day celebrations with one of the Saskatoon Tribal Council member Nations, Kinistin Saulteaux Nation.

May 17–23 marks Treaty Recognition Week in Saskatchewan. This week is an opportunity for all Treaty people to learn more about the history and spirit of Treaties, while recognizing the lasting contributions of First Nations knowledge, culture, and ways of being.

Treaties are more than historical agreements, they are living commitments built on respect, partnership, and shared responsibility. Upholding Treaty relationships begins with education, understanding, and meaningful relationship building for today and future generations.

Thank you to Kinistin Saulteaux Nation for welcoming us to take part in this important celebration and reflection.

Our team was proud to be part of such an inspiring event that encourages young women to explore careers in the skilled trades. We had three of our incredible welders in attendance, two who volunteered their own time to support and inspire the next generation of female tradespeople (way to take initiative!), and a third helping run our information booth.

A huge thank you to the organizers of Jill of All Trades and Saskatchewan Polytechnic and everyone involved in making this event such a success. We’re proud to support women in the trades and help encourage future generations to pursue rewarding careers in the industry! 👏
