1,900 kms. Eight railcars. Five days. 🚆

This week, our first railcars have made the journey to Westshore Terminals in Vancouver where they’ll help test the facilities that will one day unload, store and send Jansen potash to customers around the world. 🌎

It's been years in the making, and brings us one step closer to first production in 2027. Congrats to everyone involved! 👏

Since 2013, our Farming with Friends partnership has raised an incredible $1.8 million for local community projects in the Leroy area! Here’s how it works:

🌱 Local farmers donate their time, equipment and expertise during seeding and harvest
🚜 Farming BHP-owned land surrounding Jansen
✅ The proceeds support important community initiatives

This year's harvest was completed safely, and we couldn't be more grateful to the dedicated farmers and volunteers who made it all possible. Thank you!

The future of potash is taking shape at Jansen. 🦾

We've started testing the train loadout robots that will automatically unlatch, open, close and secure rail car lids as trains are loaded.

It's another important commissioning step toward safer, smarter and more efficient operations. Keep up the great work, team!

Not-so-little house on the prairie! 🏠

This is the first of seven new rental units that BHP's Jansen Housing Stimulation Program is helping bring to Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

BHP has allocated $1 million to stimulate new housing within a 90-kilometre radius of Jansen, including the construction of brand-new single family homes in Humboldt and Lanigan.

It's another way we're supporting communities where we live and work!

30 September is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It is a day to pause and remember the children who never returned home from residential schools, honour Survivors, their stories, families and communities, and recognize impacts that continue today.

We recognize this day as a time to listen, learn, reflect and act. Our work in Canada is deeply connected to relationships with Indigenous Nations, communities, employees and partners, and we know reconciliation requires ongoing commitment, respect and accountability beyond one day.

Today, we encourage people to take time to learn from Indigenous voices, attend Indigenous-led public events where appropriate, and consider how each of us can carry learning and action forward throughout the year.

Say hello to the latest additions to our Train Loadout Facility at Jansen! 👋

Eight automated robots are now installed and ready to help manage rail car lids as trains move through the loadout, to handle the process with precision and consistency. 🤖

Once operations are in full swing, these robots will support our teams to work safer and help enable smoother, more efficient operations. Another example of technology helping our people do what they do best 🤝.
