The company was established in March of 1961 and incorporated by Saskatchewan Charter in February 1964 as J.J. The company name was changed in 1992 to Paley White & Associates Ltd. and then again in 2005 to PWA Engineering Ltd; reflecting organizational changes. For over fifty years, PWA Engineering has provided creative and successful electrical engineering solutions for industrial, commercial, municipal, residential and institutional projects. Through its history of projects, PWA Engineering has established itself as a respected choice for Electrical Engineering services in Saskatchewan and Western Canada. Our viewpoint of quality management and professional development ensure that our clients receive quality professional services. Our philosophy is to continuously further the value that clients receive from our service. PWA Engineering is currently licensed to provide consulting engineering services in Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Nunavut and the Northwest Territories.

PWA attended the Elmwood Fall Fun Feast last night; the annual fundraising gala for Elmwood Residences Inc. This year’s proceeds support the new Hub project, which we’ve been fortunate to be involved with in its early stages. It was an inspiring evening, and we’re grateful to play even a small part in such a remarkable community. We look forward to seeing the Hub come to life!

The harvest is mostly in. The geese are heading south. And on job sites across Saskatchewan, crews are racing to close in buildings before the snow flies.

As 2026 heads into its final stretch, we're grateful for the clients, contractors, and design partners who keep us busy year after year. It's been a good one, and there's still work to finish.

PWA Engineering is grateful to have been the electrical engineer on the new Cree Nations Treatment Centre, working alongside aodbt architecture + interior design, Wright Construction Western Inc, and a strong consultant team.

Recovery takes people, culture, and community. A building can't do that work, but it can give it a good home, and we're glad to have a hand in this one.

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, and it's a good time for us to reflect on our work with Indigenous communities and what we've learned along the way.

Since our inception in 1961, PWA has worked alongside Indigenous clients and communities across Treaty territories. That work has shaped how we operate and led to many lasting friendships. It has challenged our assumptions and taught us the value of listening, learning and working together.

On September 30, we join people across the country in honouring residential school Survivors, their families, and their communities. Our offices will be closed that day so our team can take time to reflect. Reconciliation is ongoing work, and we remain committed to doing our part through the relationships we continue to build.

Glare on a classroom whiteboard. A dim stairwell. An arena where the puck disappears into the shadows. Office lighting that leaves everyone tired by 2 p.m.

Lighting design is about more than hitting a lux level. It's about putting the light where people actually need it, controlling it so it isn't wasted, and making sure it still works when the power doesn't.

For more than 65 years, PWA Engineering has been designing lighting for Saskatchewan's buildings in all sectors. We think it's one of the most underrated parts of a good building.

On June 1, 1981 a fresh young SIAST grad started work at J.J. White and Associates and so began his career in the realm of Electrical Engineering. Here we are 45 years later and Byron is still hard at it. A staple of the Electrical Industry in Saskatchewan, there isn't anyone who doesn't know this feller. So if you have him in your contact list (which I'm sure you all do) send him a note to say CONGRATS ON 45 YEARS WITH PWA ENGINEERING!. And no this is NOT a retirement announcement.

Spring is finally here. Construction is in the air and PWA is ramping up for another summer of travelling and visiting our designs on job sites all around this beautiful province. If you see one of our vehicles, give us a wave. Most of us are friendly. ;-)
