Salit Steel Weekly Update -

05/12/2020

Keeping with our mandate of supporting charitable community initiatives in which our employees can become involved, The Salit Team is looking forward to the opportunity to support our friends, family members, neighbours and co-workers who are affected by MS.
On May 24th, Members from The Salit Group of Companies across Canada will be taking part in the Virtual MS Walk
(and YES, we still have spots available for any member of the Salit Steel Team who would like to join us!)

The MS Walk is a celebration of the power we have to change the lives of Canadians with MS. Every year more than 40,000 Canadians in more than 160 communities across our country gather to fundraise and walk together to show support and fight to end MS.

Update from Salit Steel and the Salit Group of Companies:

We know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from us, but rest assured we are still here!

Like most, this pandemic has shifted our focus internally to ensure the safety of our team members and continue to offer exceptional service to our customers.

Salit Steel is committed to continuing to deliver steel solutions in North America, and our team remains passionate about building strong relationships with our customers, suppliers and industry partners by delivering outstanding service and value.

As a company that has been in business through two World Wars, the Great Depression and many other unprecedented challenges, this too shall pass. Much like our steel, you can count on the Salit Group of Companies to be resilient in any circumstance.

As we update our way of doing business (modified hours, working remotely, virtual meetings etc) we have not wavered on our priorities which will always be to value our team, support our customers, and contribute to our communities.

The Ten Million Dollar man, Steve Cohen, received the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers from Lord Mayor Disero of NOTL for his exceptional and continual contribution to his community. 🥇

Congratulations to all of the Steve's Cyclepaths for their incredible support on the Ride to Conquer Cancer over the past 12 years! The funds they’ve raised are making a real difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.

This past weekend some members of our Niagara Team volunteered at The Soup Kitchen - Niagara Falls Community Outreach. This idea was inspired by our President and CEO, Steve Cohen, who rolled up his sleeves with the team and washed all the dishes!

At the Salit Group of Companies safety is our number one priority!

It's a snowy day out there in the GTA and southern Ontario, make sure you keep a safe distance while you're out there on the roads, maybe you'll even see some of our trucks as we safely deliver to our customers across Ontario!
