On February 28th, we celebrated 10 years with Carl Fontaine, our Director of Finance and Administration 🎉

Carl first joined NGC on a temporary basis in 2016, when we were organising the 20th edition of the IFAC Symposium on Automatic Control in Aerospace for the International Federation of Automatic Control in addition to moving our office to a new building — a great baptism by fire!

This experience highlighted the qualities we all appreciate in Carl as a colleague: his thoroughness, determination, commitment to quality, perseverance, and strong sense of teamwork, but also, as a true epicurean, the importance he places on his colleagues' happiness at work and the art of hospitality ✨

After 10 years at NGC, from Accounting technician to Finance director, what sets NGC apart from other companies, according to Carl?

On January 25th, we celebrated our colleague Maxime Minville's 10-year NGC-anniversary 🎉

For the past 10 years, Maxime has been working as a software developer – Embedded Systems at NGC. He is one of our colleagues with the most diverse role on the team: daily, Maxime may be called upon to collaborate on a software development project, operate the robot in the laboratory, integrate a drone in the workshop, or perform software simulation on our hardware-in-the-loop system 💻.

For Maxime, it is this versatility that has made working at NGC such a rewarding experience over the past 10 years:

“These 10 years have gone by so quickly. I understand why when I take the time to look back. Indeed, I have been fortunate enough to contribute to many exciting challenges, from Earth to the Moon via Earth's orbit. And I've done so with a wonderful team!”

In 10 years, we have seen Maxime grow and transform at work, from junior designer to senior engineer, from learner to mentor, and out of work, welcoming children that we are blessed so see grow as well (little glimpse of it in the carousel!). It is with great pride that we highlight his contribution to our success today ✨

The holidays are coming in hot at NGC. It's time for many of our colleagues to take a meaningful break, a well-deserved rest after the last few months which have been marked by commitment and innovation. 2025 was crowned with numerous successes and we owe them entirely to the dedication of our team members and to the impeccable collaboration of our trusted partners 🙌

On this week putting the spotlight on Women and Girls in Science, we mark an important milestone in the career of two of our valued colleagues, who, 10 years ago, were taking their first steps as members of the NGC Aerospace team 🎉

Today, the Blue Ghost lunar lander, developed by Firefly Aerospace, was successfully launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 vehicle and is now on its way to land at Mare Crisium, on the Moon, carrying NGC Aerospace's navigation system as a demonstration 🚀🌌

On this mission, the global lunar navigation system developed by NGC will be tested and verified against Firefly's vision navigation system upon landing. NGC's system is capable of identifying craters from real-time camera images of the lunar surface and using them as topographical references to accurately localise a lunar orbiter or lander, providing high-accuracy navigation information that precisely guides spacecraft to their intended landing site.

This is a first visit to space for our system 🌑✨

NGC Aerospace's participation in this mission was made possible thanks to financial support from the Canadian Space Agency under the Lunar Exploration Acceleration Program.

Today saw the launch of the highly anticipated PROBA-3 satellite for which NGC Aerospace is contributing the Attitude and Orbit Control Software. NGC is proud to be part of this mission and congratulates the European Space Agency and the mission industrial consortium for their remarkable achievements in this project! 🚀✨

A particular thought goes to our close partners at GMV and SENER responsible for the development of the mission Guidance, Navigation and Control system.

Together, we are pushing the boundaries of space science and technology. Congratulations to the entire team! 🌌👏
