When the sea shuts down, we take to the sky.

In the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, and across the fast-growing offshore wind farms of the Atlantic, getting to work isn’t routine - it’s mission-critical. When 30-knot winds and 5-meter swells ground vessels, helicopters become the only bridge between crews and the energy that powers the world.
This is where engineering meets elite human performance.

🚁 Aircraft like the Sikorsky S-92 is not just a helicopter, it's a purpose-built machines designed for extreme maritime operations. From full ice protection to precision hover capability, the S-92 is engineered to perform when conditions are at their worst.
🎯 But the real edge is human. Offshore pilots operate in some of the most demanding environments on earth, flying IFR in “black-hole” conditions, making real-time go/no-go decisions, and executing pinpoint hoists onto moving targets with zero margin for error.
⚙️ This is offshore aviation: Where every mission is a balance of risk, precision, and discipline.
Because safety isn’t a feature - It’s the mission.

When the waves are too high, we fly.

️ The future just took off (literally). Vertical Aerospace just pulled off something NO ONE has done before—a two-way piloted transition flight. Vertical takeoff → airplane cruise → vertical landing. All in one flight. 🤯
This isn't sci-fi anymore. Electric air taxis are coming to your city. Surrey to downtown Van in minutes. Here is an article that demonstrates the ability of the VALO eVTOL to perform these short transfers in major urban areas https://vertical-aerospace.com/

Shhh... Do You Hear That? Neither Do We. 🤫🚁
The skyline is getting a lot quieter thanks to some serious leaps in aerospace engineering. As urban air mobility grows, the focus isn't just on speed—it’s on being a good neighbor. 🏙️✨
Here are two innovations currently muffling the roar of modern helicopters:
1. The "Blue Edge" Advantage 🧬
Standard rotor blades create a "blade-vortex interaction"—that iconic "thump-thump" sound—when one blade hits the wake of the one before it. The Blue Edge design features a distinct, double-swept shape (looking a bit like a hockey stick at the tip).
• The Result: It breaks up those vortices, slashing noise levels by 3 to 4 decibels. That might sound small, but to the human ear, it’s a massive reduction in perceived "harshness."

2. The Fenestron (Fan-in-Fin) 🌀
Traditional tail rotors are exposed, creating a signature high-pitched whine. The Fenestron enshrouds the tail rotor within the vertical fin.
• The Result: By ducting the air and using unevenly spaced blades, the frequency of the sound is shifted and dampened. It’s safer for ground crews, more efficient, and significantly quieter for people on the street below.

Aviation is proving that high performance doesn’t have to mean high volume. Whether it's executive transport or emergency services, the future of flight is "stealthy," sustainable, and city-friendly.

The S-92 is back and it's UPGRADED 🚁⚡
Sikorsky just restarted production with the S-92A+ featuring a Phase IV gearbox that can keep flying for 7+ hours on backup power alone. Plus 1,200 lbs more payload capacity.
But here's what's wild: they're investing 60% of R&D into autonomous helicopters, hybrid-electric systems, and AI-powered flight. The future of vertical lift isn't just about bigger, it's about smarter.
What mission would YOU trust an autonomous helicopter with? Drop it in the comments 👇

VIH Aerospace - Press Release
VIH Aerospace Receives Approval as a
Sikorsky Customer Support Center (CSC) for the
S-92A Helicopter

Posted on 2026 - March 04 - by VIH Aerospace. For Immediate Release
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada– VIH Aerospace (VIHA), a leading provider of helicopter maintenance, manufacturing, repair, and overhaul (MMRO) services, is proud to announce its official approval as a Sikorsky-authorized Customer Support Center (CSC) for the S-92A™ helicopter.
As a CSC, VIHA can perform MRO services on S-92A aircraft from its headquarters near Victoria International Airport in British Columbia. VIHA is now one of eight S-92A CSCs worldwide, and the first located Canada. Other Sikorsky-authorized CSCs are in the United States, Asia and Europe.
CSC designation by Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin company, reinforces VIHA’s position as a premier global hub for S-92A support, specifically tailored to meet the evolving needs of offshore, search-and-rescue (SAR), and the emerging utility and firefighting markets.
Jeff Norie, President and CEO of VIH Aerospace stated, “Becoming an authorized Customer Support Center is a natural progression of our long-standing relationship with Sikorsky and our deep-rooted experience with the S-92 platform. For years, we have been at the forefront of S-92 innovation—from our pioneering Auxiliary Fuel Systems to the recent success of the S-92 'Fire Raptor' conversion. This official approval from Sikorsky validates our team's technical excellence and our commitment to keeping this vital fleet mission ready.”
Conversion for Secondary Missions
VIHA also is taking the lead in converting older-model S-92 aircraft for secondary roles. Because each S-92 helicopter has a maximum airframe life limit of 30,000 hours, many aircraft still have thousands of hours of useful life.
Arne Arneson, VIHA General Manager, added. “As older S-92 aircraft transition from traditional offshore oil and gas roles into secondary missions like aerial firefighting and disaster relief, the need for specialized MRO support has never been higher. Arneson went on to say, “We are seeing a significant shift in how the S-92 is utilized. CSC approval from Sikorsky ensures that as the S-92 fleet ages and finds new purposes, VIH Aerospace will be there to provide the highest standard of safety and reliability.”
During VAI Verticon — the world’s largest commercial helicopter tradeshow in Atlanta (March 9-12) — attendees can see firsthand the work by VIHA to convert the first-ever operational S-92 helicopter for a life-saving task. Since late 2004, Aircraft 920006 has flown more than 15,600 flight hours, predominantly supporting U.S. energy operations. Now owned by Milestone Aviation, 920006 has been adapted by VIHA for firefighting operations with a 5000L (1320gal) Helitak fire tank.
“VIHA as an S-92 Customer Support Center expands this vital network at a time when S-92 operators once again are looking to grow their commercial fleets, and civil governments are looking for heavy-lift capability to protect communities and forest habitat,” said Leon Silva, Vice President of Sikorsky’s Global Commercial & Military Services. “We congratulate VIHA for its forward thinking and high standard of operational excellence.”
