Oilfield Laborer / Pipefitter Apprentice

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll work alongside experienced Foremen and Pipefitters on a variety of oilfield facility projects, including:
• Assisting with facility construction and maintenance
• Supporting pipefitting, fabrication, and installation work
• Loading, unloading, and organizing tools and materials
• Assisting with measurements, assembly, and installation of piping systems
• Maintaining clean and safe work areas
• Following all company safety procedures and site requirements
• Learning hands-on skills from experienced crew members in the field
What We’re Looking For
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work safely in physically demanding environments
• Mechanical aptitude and construction experience considered an asset
• Previous oilfield, construction, or labour experience considered an asset
• Pipefitter apprenticeship experience is an asset but not required
Required Certifications
• Valid H2S Alive
• Standard First Aid
• CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence

What You’ll Be Doing
• Operate motor graders for road building, maintenance, lease construction, snow removal, and final grading.
• Safely operate excavators, dozers, and skid steers as required.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and complete daily equipment reports.
• Conduct routine maintenance and identify mechanical concerns.
• Read and interpret grade stakes and site plans when required.
• Work safely around underground and overhead utilities.
• Maintain production while following Prax's safety standards and procedures.
• Assist with general site duties when equipment operation is not required.
What We’re Looking For
• Minimum 3 years of grader operating experience (required).
• Proven experience operating excavators, dozers, and skid steers.
• Ability to perform fine grading with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and safe operating practices.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (Class 3 or Class 1 considered an asset).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
Required Certifications
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
• H₂S Alive
• Standard First Aid/CPR
• Ground Disturbance Level II (asset)
