Congratulations to the Town of Lewisporte on securing $14 million in government funding for the revitalization of its wharf!

This is an exciting investment in an important piece of community infrastructure, and we’re pleased to have played a supporting role. Tiller Engineering previously completed above-water and underwater condition assessments of the wharf, followed by a three-year work plan outlining recommended repairs and priorities.

Congratulations again to the Town of Lewisporte on this major milestone. We look forward to seeing the revitalization move ahead!

Not all structural deficiencies are visible at the surface.

Non-destructive testing (NDT) provides valuable insight into the condition of structural components, welds and materials, helping identify defects, deterioration and areas of concern that may not be apparent through visual inspection alone.

Combined with structural engineering inspection, NDT can provide owners with the information needed to make informed decisions regarding repairs, maintenance and the continued performance of their assets.

Tiller Engineering cam provide NDT and structural inspection services for industrial, commercial and infrastructure applications. Have questions about the condition of your structural assets? Contact Tiller Engineering to discuss how our services can help.

Canada has spent years expanding its telecommunications infrastructure. Now, as major 5G and fibre buildouts mature, the focus is increasingly shifting toward the infrastructure already in place.

That means inspecting existing structures, identifying deficiencies, assessing changing loads, designing upgrades and helping extend the service life of critical assets.

For Canada’s telecom networks, building the infrastructure is only part of the job. Keeping it safe, reliable and ready for what comes next is just as important.

That’s where ongoing engineering and asset integrity play a critical role.

Another day in the field!

Our team recently completed load testing on the anchor points of a rappel tower to verify they can withstand the required loads and perform safely under real-world conditions.

Testing like this helps identify potential deficiencies and ensures critical safety systems are ready when needed.
