olvement in regulatory standards and protocols for the Canadian marketplace has been a top priority for Simon throughout his career. He continues to volunteer his expertise as a technical consultant representing private industry on the UL Canada committee for flammable and combustible liquids. Simon is also an internal auditor for the Standards Council of Canada (SCC). Past advisory activity includes serving as a consultant for the Technical Safety Standards Association (TSSA), volunteering at Ontario Petroleum Contractors Association (OPCA), and representing Canada at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) conferences and programs. Simon is a registered profrssional engineer in Ontario and Alberta and holds the designation as a consulating engineer. Simon earned his degree in mechanical engineering from Ryerson University and has also completed various technical and business continuing education courses from the University of Toronto and the International School of Hydrocarbon - Oklahoma University. His specialties include project management, program management, detailed design engineering, engineering procurement, product development and regulatory compliance, leading multidisciplinary teams, facility assessments and sustainability planning, organizational growth and development, merges & acquisitions, strategic planning, business process reengineering, vendor sourcing, change management.
