Big thanks to for having me over to build this beautiful white oak apothecary shelf… that’s pronounced uh-pah-thuh-keh-ree 😅 (still practicing that one).
Can’t wait to see it filled with herbs, spices, and flowers to be used throughout the home 😊

Thanks to for the beautiful white oak and for the finish.

Its Christmas Eve! In honour of my Christmas Tradition of making wooden christmas ornaments, I went outside today and had some fun! For the first time in a very long time I actually had no idea what I was going to make, I just started ripping pieces on the table saw hoping that inspiration would strike and it did! I ended up cutting out some stars (Bethlehem stars of course) and I used the sample green and red osmo packs from century mill to colour two of the maple ones in (the natural one is red oak). I then made some triangle christmas trees out of red and white oak, with walnut trunks, and put some little presents around the tree which is actually Purple heart, monkey pod, and walnut. Was a fun day!

I'm super excited to share my third christmas project, and my favourite so far! This is a Rift Sawn White Oak mirror I built to be used as a entryway mirror for mine and apartment! The wood is from and it's finished using polyx oil! I just rolled it on for 15 minutes and wiped it off with a rag and I couldn't be happier with the results. (My grandma has the senses of a hawk) but shes cool with Osmo oil because of its natural properties and she knows its cold outside. This mirror was Shaker 'influenced' but the design and proportions are all my own work ☺️. I contacted Pilkey glass in Markham and they cut me a mirror to my exact dimensions. What do you guys think?

Christmas Project #2 is this Shaker Cutting board copied from the design of a cutting board from Union Village Ohio, circa 1860. Housed in the Golden Lamb Inn (resturant and hotel) in Lebanon Ohio . Fun fact the Golden Lamb is considered the oldest continually operated business in Ohio State.

I learned about this Cutting board from the book "Making Authentic Shaker Furniture, with Measured Drawings of Mudeum Classics" by John G. Shea. Which I highly recommend.

The board is made from beautiful Rift sawn white oak sourced from in Stouffville Ontario.

It uses North American made Suede Lace as a string and is finished using Board Butter which is made in Canada using Beeswax, Mineral Oil, and Orange Essential Oil. All excellent stuff for a surface that touches food!

Christmas project #1 for 2025-26 is this Shaker Peg Rail. The design is a copy of the Historical work done by "the Shakers" (United Society of Belivers in Christ's Second Coming) a historical English/American Christian Sect known for there furniture, inventions, architechture and many other areas where they excelled. These peg rails would go the entire perimeter of the wall and were very functional. Great examples of this can be seen in the shaker villages (now museums) of Mount Lebanon (New York) Hancock Shaker Village (Massachusetts) and Pleasant Hill (Kentucky) and others. One of my goals is to visit these sites in person someday.

The wood is beautiful Rift sawn north american red oak from and is finished using hardwax oil.

The hooks hang from flush routered keyhole hanger brackets I installed on the back.

Thank you to my friend for helping give me ideas for this project and sharing with me some of the peg rails hes built for his own home!

Just wrapped up these two custom double gates 🔨

The first is the main entrance — a curved-top double gate that adds a clean, welcoming look. The second gate is more utilitarian. Both gates are self closing and latching as there is a backyard pool!

Both gates are traditionally braced for maximum strength and stability, and built using beautiful pressure-treated lumber for long-term durability. The curved gate was inspired by a beautiful cedar gate I saw built by , please check out his page if you love fine woodworking.
