New Project Alert!!! 🚨

Officially awarded a few months ago, the team has been putting in the time to make this one come to life. Today was the first day on site, unloading the first wave of steel ready for er****on.

We’re excited to officially get underway on Sargent Farms — a 160,000 sq. ft. facility featuring approximately 550 tons of structural steel and 545 tons of joist and deck.

There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before the first piece of steel ever arrives on site. From estimating and engineering coordination, through detailing, procurement and fabrication, our team has been working hard to get this project to the starting line.

Now the fun part begins.

We’re looking forward to watching this one take shape over the coming months and sharing the progress along the way.

Back in 2021, we had the pleasure of providing our structural steel services for the Crop Services Building at the University of Guelph’s Ridgetown Campus.

We are proud to have contributed our expertise to this project and to have worked alongside the teams involved in bringing the building to life. It remains a strong example of the quality, precision, and collaboration we bring to every project.

🚨 NEW PROJECT ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨

We're proud to announce that JCT Metals Inc. has been awarded the structural steel package for the new AEON project! 🎉

📐 106,500 sq. ft.
🔩 290 tons of structural steel
🏗️ 86 tons of joist and deck

This project is even more exciting because JCT is also providing the structural engineering through our Design-Build approach, allowing us to deliver an efficient, coordinated structural solution from engineering through fabrication and installation.

A huge thank you to MCI for the opportunity to be part of this outstanding development.

Project Announcement 🙌

We're excited to announce that JCT Metals Inc. has been awarded the structural steel and Misc. Metals scope for the new Ingersoll Recreation Centre!

This exciting project will be a fantastic addition to the community, featuring a new ice pad and a multi-use gym that will serve residents for generations to come. It's always rewarding to be part of projects that create spaces where people can connect, stay active, and make lasting memories.

Meet Our VP – Charlie Wicks

Charlie joined JCT Metals in 2012 and has worn just about every hat along the way. From sweeping floors and fitting/welding to field work, project management, and now Vice President, his journey reflects the hands-on culture that defines JCT.

Today, Charlie is focused on driving the growth of JCT while ensuring we continue to deliver the quality, service, and solutions our customers count on. His passion for building strong relationships and finding the right solutions is at the heart of everything he does.

Outside of work, Charlie spends his time being a superhero with his 4-year-old son. Whether it's family adventures or making lasting memories, he values spending as much time as possible with the people who matter most.

We're proud to have Charlie leading the way and helping shape the future of JCT Metals.

The renovation at Summit Golf Club is nearing completion for our scope of works, and it's exciting to see the vision coming together.

Next up: joist installation, which will begin once the first-floor precast panels are in place.

A great example of collaboration in action, with both the contractor and our team working together to bring this project to life. Looking forward to seeing the finished result.
