Did you know the forklift's family tree starts with CLARK? In 1917, Clark built the Tructractor in Buchanan, Michigan, the first internal combustion industrial truck and the machine widely credited as the ancestor of the modern forklift. It was originally made just to haul parts between departments in Clark's own factory, and by 1919 more than 75 had been built as other companies caught on.
