At the Wesgroup Equipment Annual Planning meeting, Managers and Team Leads from all branches gathered to prep and plan for the upcoming year.

We took a creative "spin" on it this year by splitting into five teams for a hands-on bike-building challenge, with the finished bikes being donated to a local charity.

It was a great way to collaborate, strengthen relationships, and support a meaningful cause.

Our team at Westerra Equipment brought the fun, and the horsepower, to the 2025 Nanaimo Silly Boat Races with a one-of-a-kind, Bobcat-themed boat that made waves both on and off the water.

This marks the second time we've taken part in this lighthearted community tradition, which brings together businesses, families, and community members for a good laugh and a great cause. Our crew built and raced a hilariously over-the-top “silly boat” inspired by Bobcat construction equipment, turning heads and bringing smiles to the tens of thousands of spectators lining Nanaimo’s waterfront.

Beyond the fun, we’re proud to share that our team raised over $4,000 for the Nanaimo Child Development Centre, contributing to an incredible event total of more than $100,000 in support of children and families in the region.

We want to thank everyone who donated, cheered us on, and made this event unforgettable.
