The young guy has been wanting to run this machine for a few years now... The Ole Man caved in for 10 minutes, he does so well with control, takes his time to feel the controls out first.

The cost of LED has really become affordable, honestly in this case a new fixture was cheaper than the parts and would 50:1 outshine the fluorescent fixture.
LED has become really affordable and a lot of fixtures can be dimmed as well, delivering even more energy savings!

We were called upon to replace a tubing system that didn't meet the Canadian Code Requirements, did as best a ls possible to replicate the original installation, it was a bit challenging working with unusual angles. Our work is the piping in yellow.

A little before and after of setting up of some combustion... This particular unit was way out of the parameters and basically was just pumping any heat being made out of the chimney instead of into the space...
After completing the set up and doing a final check, a nearby operator came running and asked "Is everything OK, I have never seen that unit do that before???"
The reply came with an explanation of why he would never have seen anything like that before and what he should expect to see from now on, he was also amazed at how well the unit actually heats now too...

Commissioning a little oven... And another heater that has 4 defective brand new ignition controls... Hahaha, I said before... I have really entered a new chapter in my career, when I thought I was well seasoned before.
Fortunately we were able to get ahold of the last few in North America, 4 of the last 5 as I was told... With a projected lead time of 12+ weeks before any others are available... 😳

Yes we do control systems, this particular system has been a bit tricky as it never truly got the commissioning it should have... It has been installed for 10 years now, it does somewhat what it was designed to do but has room for improvements. During a maintenance last fall we discovered that there was some response issues with the HVAC system, further evaluation determined that the two were not properly configured together, which we corrected.
It was rather nice to see the unit operating correctly and responding like it should during a spring check up.
