We have no words to describe the devastation experienced in our community in the last day. All we can say is thank you to all the people helping try to lessen the blow. Although it was too late to save our dear shop, which was a lost cause; we all stood side by side until the late hours, doing our best to help our business neighbors slow down the onslaught.
LP employees, Mykula Contracting, Doak's, New Era Ag, Stehr Mechanical, Swan River Kinsmen, SV Co-op, and all of the young people who's names I didn't know: thank you, and it was an honor to work beside you. Thank you to Mayor Jacobson, who I can personally attest; his swift action in mobilizing sand trucks and bags when he was alerted to the issue of water beginning to roll by our shop. Taking this seriously without hesitation, along with the army of volunteers saved several businesses. Unfortunately we were the first business hit and needed to be the sacrifice. We stand by you, and you're all my brothers and sisters.
It goes without saying, but our shop will be closed for the foreseeable future. I apologize to anyone we had jobs on the go for, but we are quite literally under water... And I don't just mean from an insurance standpoint 😂🤦🏻♂️ (if anybody knows anything about receiving emergency disaster relief that would be great, lol) I apologize to the people who I had jobs planned for. I can't get to my office to access my work notes to contact you directly, and my mind is a blur. Thank you in advance for your patience and support. This will pass, and just like our iron, we will rebuild stronger than ever.
I love this town, but it's time to get back out helping our townsfolk... Thanks to everyone with rubber boots on the ground and sand under their nails for leading by example. Good luck Swan Valley ✌🏻 we got this. We are all
And although a rarity these days, this post and the photo was written with the heart and not created with AI. Be safe everyone.
