Welcoming the first CC-295 Kingfisher flight into Sydney, NS today!

“The CC-295 Kingfisher is Canada’s newest fixed-wing search and rescue aircraft.

The Kingfisher is specifically designed to perform search and rescue missions across Canada. The aircraft is equipped with integrated sensors that allow crews to locate persons or objects from more than 40 kilometres away, even in low-light conditions.“ - Royal Canadian Air Force

Our team was on the move this weekend, transporting the XCite TDEM system to the Northern Peninsula from our base in Western Newfoundland. The calm before the storm on Sunday allowed for a seamless transit, and we were treated to some great photos along the way.

Thanks to .group and NRG for partnering with us to support mineral exploration throughout Atlantic Canada.

We are extremely grateful for the response from Nav Canada, JRCC and first responders that have reacted to information given to them from appropriate resources, operating in their appropriate manner.

We would like to confirm that there has been no incident, whatsoever, and this has unfortunately has resulted from miscommunication between our pilot and Nav Canada.

Today certainly highlights the effectiveness of our prompt aviation safety network, along with first responders, that effectively engage incident reporting in the most timely manner.
