We're stoked to see the ground broken on this Shuniah lake house addition.

We love helping clients re-imagine what's possible with their properties and guiding them through the complex process of design, permitting, and ex*****on.

This project involves doubling the building footprint and adding a great room with 16' cathetral ceiling, new kitchen, new spacious foyer, and a complete rework and optimization of the existing floor plan.

This addition is designed to balance functionality and grandeur with a focal point of Lake Superior views and southern daylight.

Finally got around to taking the finished photos of this one.

This small addition was designed and built by Point Grey Builders. Expanding the front porch completely changed the feel of the home's entrance, giving it a more balanced look and a much stronger first impression.

It's always satisfying to look back at a project once the finishing touches are complete.

Meet Josh

Josh has really progressed with Point Grey over the years and has grown into a key part of our team. From day one, he’s brought a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to take on any challenge.

Now stepping into a lead hand role, Josh helps keep projects moving efficiently while also mentoring our apprentices and younger crew members along the way. Whether it’s leading by example on site, teaching proper techniques, or making sure the job gets done right, he’s someone the team can rely on every day.

We’re proud to have him helping shape the next generation of tradespeople at Point Grey Builders.

Employee Highlight — Matthew

Matthew has been with Point Grey Builders for over a year and is currently completing his apprenticeship at the 85% level.

He has proven himself to be a dependable and versatile member of the crew, showing strong capabilities across a wide range of carpentry tasks including windows and doors, drywall installation, concrete work, and general construction.

Matthew’s ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision makes him a valuable part of the team.
