Today's the day! Aunor Beach is officially OPEN!

Come enjoy a fresh new experience with an upgraded access road leading to McDonald Lake (Aunor Beach), improved parking, a refreshed walking trail, and a brand-new beachfront vibe.

Additional amenities include:

• Bear-proof waste bins
• Washroom facilities
• New signage throughout the area

The beach will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with security assisting visitors off the property prior to gate closure each evening.

Access to Nighthawk Lake from Peninsula is now open to the public!

Discovery is happy to share that Peninsula Road leading to Nighthawk Lake is now accessible and welcomes back the community to enjoy a beautiful recreational area for offshore fishing. Just follow the signs directing you to the fishing area.

Improvements have been made to create this safe accessible lakefront. Discovery appreciates everyone’s cooperation in maintaining a respectful, safe, and clean area for all to enjoy. Please keep in mind that alcohol, glass, hazardous substances and open fires are prohibited. Camping and overnight parking is also not permitted.
