Niobium is a Critical and Strategic Metal for United States.

Niobium is used to increase strength and reduce weight of alloy products by the steel and aerospace industries. In addition, new uses of niobium in technology sectors helped increase capacity and speed of recharging batteries.

With over 90% of the world’s niobium mined and produced in Brazil, it stands to reason that a new, high grade deposit found in Canada would be very favourably looked at.
