Nature-derived psilocybin in palliative care is the focus of Psyence Group's Phase IIb clinical trial in Australia. iNGENu CRO the Australian-based, globally focused Contract Research Organization with extensive experience working in the psychedelic pharmaceutical drug development and clinical research industry is our partner.

iNGENū is responsible for jointly designing our trial, using a natural drug candidate PEX010, in the setting.

The Australian Federal Government’s Research & Development tax incentive program, which can provide up to a 43.5% rebate on our research and development expenses in Australia, makes it a very cost-effective endeavour.

The investment we secured from Cantheon Capital, LLC, a fund focussed on listed stocks with near term catalysts, will help fund our first clinical trial in Australia. The funding will go towards the design and conduct of our Phase IIb clinical trial, using a natural psilocybin drug candidate PEX010, in the palliative care setting.

We have partnered with iNGENu CRO to conduct the trial and believe that the funding will enable us to progress this trial as expeditiously as possible.

Psyence Group and Newcourt Acquisition Corp (Nasdaq: NCAC) today announced that Newcourt has entered into a definitive business combination agreement with Psyence Biomed Corp to create a public company leveraging natural psilocybin in the treatment of palliative care. Psyence Biomed, a wholly owned subsidiary of Psyence, is Psyence’s clinical trial division.
