Warehouse Technician – BNG0015 (Administration)

Reporting to the Site Controller, the Warehouse Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials from supplier to end users. Support the day-to-day needs of operational activities and provide warehouse services that ensure high quality supply, storage and distribution of goods at Battle North Gold – Bateman Gold Project. This position will work a local 5x2, 8-hour shift schedule offering a great work/life balance.

Responsibilities

Perform receiving functions, as per applicable procedures, which consist of but are not limited to the following:
o Accurate receiving of inventory, services, and direct charge goods.
o Prepare inventory materials to be put away in our warehouse.
o Prepare direct charge goods to be delivered to end locations.
o Document, correct and report all shortages, overages, or damaged shipments received.
Perform picking functions, as per applicable procedures, which consist of but are not limited to the following:
o Review, coordinate and manage reservations of inventory items.
o Manage ground support orders within the pick queue.
o Pick, pack and coordinate deliveries of these materials
o Manage backorders and communicate them to end users.
Perform other supply chain functions which consist of but are not limited to the following:
o Offload trucks and operate forklift and IT loader safely and efficiently.
o Prepare orders for shipment off property.
o Actively participate in maintaining proper housekeeping practices in all areas and throughout the property
o Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.

Occupational Health Nurse – BNG0011 (Safety, Training & Security)

Reporting to the Health & Safety Coordinator, the Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for providing emergency services, healthcare, workplace rehabilitation, wellness programs and worker education while promoting a healthy workplace at Battle North Gold – Bateman Gold Project. This position will work a local 5x2, 8-hour shift schedule offering a great work/life balance.

Responsibilities

• Develops a preventative health environment ensuring compliance with all policies, legislation and regulations affecting health and medical requirements.
• Establishes a calendar of events and scheduled prevention education fitting operational and seasonal risks.
• Professionally treats and supports workers with any first aid or associated conditions that supports best prognosis for conditions.
• Collaborates and liaises with the HR, Health Safety and Training team to monitor, participate, assess, and consult on safety issues.
• Refers workers to further treatment after advising management first where applicable.
• Minimizes risk to workers and the business by applying timely, first aid to prevent complication of any physical compromise.
• Manage WSIB claims, modified work program, and worker rehabilitation, and all related correspondence.
• Advocate for employees with supervisors, WSIB, insurance provider or physician, when necessary.
• Follow up with injured workers to ensure timely return to work.
• Administer pre-employment and random drug testing for employees and contractors.
• Deliver worker training programs (e.g., First Aid & CPR).
• Liaise with outside health organizations. Monitor biological testing. Organize mine medicals.
• Keep complete and accurate employee medical records and ensure confidentiality. Compile statistical reports, as requested.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation, and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts, regulations, and legal requirements.

Requirements
• College degree in Nursing with RN or RPN designation, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience acute care nursing and/or occupational health experience, including 2 years in the mining industry.
• Knowledge of provincial legislation including the Occupational Health and Safety and Act and the Workplace Safety Insurance Act.
• Audiometric and Pulmonary Function Technician Certificate would be an asset.
• Current Certifications in CPR and First Aid. Previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred.

Production Geologist – BNG0010 (Technical Services)

Reporting to the Chief Mine Geologist, the Production Geologist will be responsible for collecting, interpreting, and providing geological information to the engineering and mining department to assist in the optimum production of the ore body at Battle North Gold – Bateman Gold Project. This position will work a local 5x2, 8-hour shift schedule offering a great work/life balance.

Responsibilities

• Mark up and track daily production blasts to ensure maximum ore production.
• Responsible for mapping, to BNG’s standards, cut & fill stopes, and development headings.
• Responsible for collecting chip samples in all ore production headings. Ensure miners are collecting test hole samples in each wall for each ore round or as requested by geology and ensure muckers are collecting necessary muck samples in ore headings.
• Responsible for providing 3-D geological interpretations (ore outlines and local geology) to engineering department to be used for mine planning and resource estimation.
• Required to visit longhole stopes at least once per week and issue reports to keep mining, engineering, and geology personnel aware of the status of mucking/condition of the muck and identify reasons for overbreak and grade variances. Sample draw points when possible and check that muck samples are being collected as per policy.
• Plan and provide guidance for definition drill programs and log the drill core to Battle North Gold standards. Update the active geology projects when logging is completed, assays are returned and approved, and all required surveys have been completed and approved.
• Monitor and review diamond drill progress, hole deviations and drilling invoices. Communicate with drill contractor when discrepancies are found and have them corrected.
• Ensure quality control is maintained on geological data. This is accomplished by reviewing, correcting, and approving drill hole surveys, logging and assays, accurately filling out daily heading reports and ensuring that blast tracking is updated and done correctly. Monitor activities to ensure QA/QC activities comply with N143-101 standards.
• Work in a healthy work environment with full support, cooperation, and commitment to satisfy our operation’s goal of being accident-free.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts, regulations, and legal requirements.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in underground mining or a diploma with a minimum of 5 years of production experience. Eligible to register as a Professional Geoscientist in the province of Ontario.
• QA/QC experience is an asset.
