After 5 years of building Quimbaya Gold, identifying the region, and securing the land, one critical question remained: WHERE exactly do we drill?

In Episode 2 of Striking Gold, we take you behind the scenes of the surface work that answered that question. This isn't just a target; it’s a district-scale bet based on hard evidence.

The Setup: Our VP of Exploration, Ricardo Sierra, breaks down the methodology that narrowed our focus from an entire tenement to specific drill sites:

The Evidence: 500 meters of stockwork veining visible along the road, supported by sericite alteration and copper wad minerals, with system potentially continues for 4-5 kilometers.

The Validation: 200+ years of historical mining, with active mines located 200m east and 600m west of our target, defining a clear mineralized corridor.

The Thesis: As VP Exploration Ricardo says, we found the "Best of Both Worlds" on one land package:
• Tahami South: High-grade vein systems (the Aris structure play).
• Tahami Center: A potential porphyry system with associated gold veins.

But exploration never goes exactly to plan. Watch the reality of drilling delays and a CEO who refused to leave the site until the core was pulled.

In August 2025, after 5 years of preparation, Quimbaya Gold started drilling.

This is the story of how we got there.

Alexandre P. Boivin left Montreal real estate to chase gold in Colombia. Sebastian Wahl spent 15 years in South American mining. Together, they made a bet: the same geology that made Aris Mining worth $1.7 billion extends onto their property, literally next door.

But first, they had to build a company. Secure the land. Raise the money. Assemble the team. And convince themselves the bet was worth making.
