At the 10th Annual Indigenous Consultation & Engagement Atlantic Conference in Halifax, NexGold's VP, Sustainability, Deidre Puddister, joined Tracey Menge, Relationships and Arrangements Manager at KMK, for a presentation titled “Nurturing Collaboration in a Good Way: Building Long-Term Partnerships Through Early Engagement.”

Together, they explored the importance of early dialogue, trust and respectful collaboration in building lasting relationships with Indigenous communities.

We appreciate the opportunity to participate in these meaningful discussions and thank everyone who contributed to the event.

Yesterday, our Gold Complex team in Dryden came together in recognition of Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Wearing orange, we took time to honour Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, remembering the children who never returned home, and reflect on the meaning of this day. At NexGold, we are committed to continuing to learn, listen and build relationships with Indigenous Peoples and communities.

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, the NexGold team joins Canadians across the country in a day of reflection, learning and remembrance.

We honour Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, and remember the children who never returned home.

As we wear orange, we recognize that reconciliation requires more than acknowledgement. It requires continued learning, listening, respect and meaningful action in the relationships we build with Indigenous Peoples and communities.

NexGold is pleased to support the Mobile Construction Experience / Skilled Trades Showcase in Monastery, Nova Scotia.

Yesterday, local students had the opportunity to get hands-on experience and learn about careers in the skilled trades. Today, September 29, the event is open to everyone from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

NexGold’s Natasha Gilfoy is on site with information about our company and future opportunities. Visitors can also meet professional tradespeople, learn about apprenticeships and explore careers including millwrighting, ironworking, pipefitting, welding, electrical, carpentry and more.
