We’re thrilled to share positive preliminary results from our real-world evidence study, now published in the Canadian Journal of Pain.
 
The study, led by Hance Clarke (University Health Network) and implemented through our platform, MyMedi.ca, observed improvements in pain-related outcomes, mental health measures, and quality of life among patients using physician-authorized medical cannabis.
 
This publication reinforces the growing role of real-world evidence in advancing evidence-based medical cannabis care while highlighting the importance of clinician involvement in monitoring efficacy, safety, and ongoing patient outcomes.

We’re thrilled to announce positive results and the filing of a provisional application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for its novel Powder Drug Delivery System (“PwdRx”) platform.
The drug delivery platform has been specifically developed to address key formulation challenges associated with highly lipophilic cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, THC and CBN), which often exhibit poor water solubility, low and variable bioavailability, and delayed onset of action. In preclinical pharmacokinetic studies, the PwdRx formulations demonstrated enhanced bioavailability and faster uptake compared to conventional medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) oil-based formulations.

Recent in-vitro study of Avicanna’s PwdRx technology demonstrated statistically significant results including 74% higher bioavailability (AUC), 63% faster peak plasma levels (TMAX) and a 134% higher peak plasma concentration (CMAX) when compared to MCT oil formulation.

Another export completed - this time to Switzerland! 🇨🇭

This marks the first export of organic certified flower for our subsidiary SMGH, 20th international market for Aureus branded products and 23rd market for all Avicanna products.

This export is a result of improvements directed by the Company in 2024, when it improved internal practices and enhanced the local infrastructure at SMGH to expand the portfolio of branded products with premium organic flower to meet the growing demand of medical cannabis flower in Europe and Australia. The Company is currently producing a range of proprietary and premium CBD, CBG and THC genetics for these markets.

re+PLAY is a CBD wellness brand founded by NBA veteran Al Harrington with products utilizing Avicanna’s patented and proprietary CBD formulations.

The initial launch of re+PLAY in the United States includes two products available at Harrington Wellness’ replaycbd.com as well as select retailers across the United States in September.
