Make sure to Re-caulk your windows!
Cracked or peeling caulk around your windows might look like a cosmetic issue, but it's often where water damage starts. 🏠💧
Once the seal fails, rain gets behind the frame and into the wall. Over time that leads to:
• Rotting sills and framing
• Mold inside the wall or around the window
• Stained drywall, peeling paint, and damaged trim
Most of it stays hidden until the repair is bigger and more expensive. A quick check each fall, before the heavy rain and freeze-thaw season, can save you a lot of trouble.
