Hi everyone! I wanted to share an important update regarding our operating schedule! Effective April 13, 2026, Nortel Manufacturing will be closed on Mondays.

🕐 New Hours:
Tuesday to Thursday 9:30 to 4:00
Friday: 9:30 to 2:00
Saturday, Sunday & Monday: Closed

We appreciate your understanding and ongoing support. You can still email your order or place it online, and we will process it as quickly as possible.

Sigh - It looks like we are going to have yet another snow day. This is the most we've ever had, and we've still got at least another 2 months of this! I know a few members of our team were planning on at least trying to make it in, but I'm going to go ahead and call it. By the time they dig their way out of the driveways, it will be late afternoon :-) We'll be back in the shop on Tuesday!

It looks like another Snow Day! Sorry folks, we will not be in the office today (Thursday, Jan 15th). We will be back in the shop on Friday (if it ever stops snowing!)

As this challenging year wraps up, we want to say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful customers and distributors. Your support means the world to us, and we’re so grateful to be part of such a thoughtful, talented community.

Yes - I did make it but as snow continues to fall I am closing up early.
Nortel will be locked up CLOSED as of 1 pm for official SNOW DAY

It's not nice out there, folks! We're calling a snow day. Jean lives only about 10 minutes away, and it took her almost 45 minutes to get in. We'll be back in the office tomorrow. Stay warm!

Big holiday market coming up in Oshawa. Taking over the upper level of the old Sears location. I believe they are still accepting applications for handmade vendors.

▪️13 years ago we started this business with one purpose in mind. To create a space for small business owners to have an avenue to expose our community to local. Face to face, in real life.

▪️Back then it was unheard of to spend $30+ on a handmade hat, when you could get one from a big box store for $8.

▪️The shop local message has grown tremendously in the past few years and it’s been incredible to witness.

▪️As a Canadian business owner, l’ve seen more businesses close this year than ever before. Canadians deserve choice, and thriving communities. Without the support of so many of intentional shop local consumers, all we’d be left with is big box stores.

▪️We’re thrilled that for the second year in a row, our annual Holiday Market will take place at the in the upper level of the old Sears building.

▪️The biggest, and busiest place we could possibly find across Durham Region. Over 8 market days, we will host over 250 Ontario based businesses.
