Over the last 6 years, the environmental responsibility team at the Maracás Menchen Mine partnered with local biologists, authors and organizers to produce The Fauna and Flora of the area of the Vanádio de Maracás book. The Fauna and Flora of the area of Vanadio de Maracás book highlights the importance of the different flora and fauna species surrounding the Maracás Menchen Mine and the subsequent steps we are taking to preserve the wealth and beauty of this area.

Largo Resources celebrates Canada's 150th anniversary.

An invitation was extended to Largo Resources for two separate events commemorating the 150th Anniversary of Canada and on March 22nd, the President of Largo Resources Operations in Brazil, Paulo G. Misk, attended the celebration which was held in Brasília, at the Canadian Embassy, along with the Canadian Ambassador in Brazil, Riccardo Savone, representatives of the Brazilian government of the mining sector and the Canadian mining companies operating in Brazil. Subsequently, on March 23rd, the celebration was held at the Consulate General of Canada in São Paulo, with the attendance of the Consul General, Stéphane Larue, along with the main Canadian companies currently operating in Brazil.
Largo Resources had the honor of joining the Brazil-Canada Chamber of Commerce (CCBC) in March 2017. "Last year we had the honor to welcome Ambassador Riccardo Savone and his delegation in our office in Salvador. We very much appreciate the invitation to celebrate Canada’s sesquicentennial at the residence of the Ambassador and the Consul General. Largo Resources is equally proud and excited to strengthen cooperative ties with both Canada and Brazil, "says Paulo G. Misk, who recently assumed the position of Coordinator of the Mining Commission of CCBC, reinvigorating the discussions with regards to the mining sector.
