Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a 310T Mechanic located in Toronto, ON. The 310T Mechanic will be responsible for truck and trailer maintenance, preventive maintenance, maintenance & repair, heavy equipment operation, and troubleshooting in a metal recycling environment.

Qualifications
Maintenance & Repair and Troubleshooting skills
Experience in Heavy Equipment operation
Preventive Maintenance knowledge
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Relevant certification or trade school education in Heavy Equipment Mechanics
Previous experience in a metal recycling or industrial environment is a plus

The recycling of metal plays an important role in preserving our environment. In fact, recycling is one of the ways that we can protect the earth from harmful waste 🌍♻️

Metal recycling reduces the amount of harmful greenhouse gas emissions produced during the metal smelting and manufacturing process.

Scrap metal recycling also greatly reduces energy consumption to produce metal.

Once scrap reaches our yards, it is sorted on the basis of their properties. This process is made easier with specialized equipment and highly trained staff.

We place safety and environmental protection at the top of our list of priorities. Ensuring the team is well equipped, properly trained and that the yard is well organized helps in keeping our employees and customers safe. Our concrete surfaced yards are designed to protect the environment from contaminants that accompany recycled metal.

We’re always looking for ways to improve how we process metals to ensure that nothing that can be repurposed ever goes to waste, and that can make a world of difference.
