Another house, almost ready - and it's a beauty!
Bright, cozy, full of charm - we're basically moving in ourselves (just kidding... unless?). Just a few last tweaks, some touch-ups, curtains up - and the magic is done.
Behind the scenes? Oh, we worked HARD:
• Built a staircase that deserves its own fan club
• Smooth, clean walls - no baseboards, just bold decisions
• Doors so tall they practically wave at the ceiling
• A pantry big enough to get lost in (bring snacks)
• Lighting so pretty it makes regular bulbs jealous
… and a hundred more details that made this project extra special.
And hey — in case you forgot:

New stage – new level of transformation!
After weeks of digging by hand (yes, by hand – thank you, narrow access and neighborly fences) and dancing with shoring, we’ve finally reached the stage where things are getting smeared, not excavated.
Stucco is on!
The house no longer looks like a contestant on Survivor: Construction Edition, but like a decent piece of architecture.
We’re stuccoing with soul – because at this point, we’re ready to see a façade, not just concrete, beams, and supplier spreadsheets

One step closer to calling it a home!

November and December were busy behind the scenes —
Framing? ✔️
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC? ✔️✔️✔️
Spray foam insulation? ✔️ (so much foam… everywhere) 😄
And finally — drywall!
The moment the walls went up, everything changed.
No more guessing where the kitchen starts and the bedroom ends.
Suddenly, it wasn’t just a construction site —
It started to feel like an actual house ❤️
Every outlet, every pipe, every vent — planned and placed.
And now, all those “invisible” systems are hidden behind clean, smooth walls.
(And yes, we did walk around just touching drywall like, “Oooh, it’s happening…” 😄)
Can’t thank our crew enough — working through cold, chaos and coffee — always moving forward.
Next up: floors, paint, and a few thousand other things.
But hey — it’s finally starting to look like something we dreamed of. Stay tuned

Framing stage — we made it!
In mid-October, we finally moved on to framing!

Finally pouring the foundation!
The toughest part is almost behind us — months of digging, underpinning, and shoring are finally paying off.

Mission — Deep and Manual.
This wasn’t just digging — this was precision surgery under an old house!
In a tight historic neighborhood, with barely any space between homes, we had to do it all by hand — no machines, just muscle, grit, and lots of coffee.
Two months of careful underpinning and shoring to prevent soil collapse and protect the neighbor’s house — and guess what?
We did it.
9-foot basement is now a reality. 🙌
