Update on our AXEN1 winter tester program: homeowner spots filled fast — thank you! New homeowner applications will join the waiting list.

We're still looking for dealers and prospective dealers: dealer spots are still open for this winter's test. If you sell or service outdoor power equipment and want to put our pre-production autonomous snow blower through a real winter, we'd love to hear from you.

Joining the tester program comes with no purchase obligation and no minimum order quantity.

A quick note

1. One of our testers pointed out something we'd missed: sales tax had been added to the tester deposit at checkout. It should never have been there — the cause was Stripe's default tax setting, and we weren't careful enough to catch it.
The fix was immediate:
• The setting was switched off.
• The tax was refunded to every tester who had been charged it.
• A thank-you note has gone out to the tester who spotted it.
We're sorry for the confusion it caused.

2. Special thanks to our community members and testers for all the support since then.
One tester — an engineer — wrote that he plans to map his yard before the snow arrives, build a shelter for the base station, and send detailed feedback, photos and video all winter.
Another brings more than 20 years of experience importing and distributing robot mowers — he was giving manufacturers feedback back when this industry was just getting started.
Support like this makes us even more determined to get things right.

3. We're working through the applications as fast as we can. Everyone who applied before Thursday, October 22 will either:
• receive an approval email by Friday, October 23, or
• be placed on our waitlist — for example, when two testers from the same city have already been approved. If an approved spot opens up, waitlisted applicants will be moved up and notified.
So please keep an eye on your inbox — and check your spam folder — so you don't miss our email.

🍂 Tuesday Lawn Tip: Don't bag your leaves — mulch them.

Raking bags of leaves every fall is back-breaking work. Here's the secret: your lawn is hungry for exactly what's in those leaves. Michigan State turf researchers studied this — mulched leaves break down and feed the lawn, no raking required. Set your mower to mulch mode and run over dry leaves — they shred into confetti that feeds the soil for free. No heavy bags to drag to the curb.

Two ground rules:
1️⃣ Don't let leaves pile so thick the grass disappears — mulch before they smother it.
2️⃣ Do it while the leaves are dry. Wet leaves clump and stick.
