Let's dish about bathroom renovations. So often we get a call from a client who hired a contractor or handyman who's a 'friend of the family' or promised the moon, the stars, and a miracle renovation in just one day, all for cheap, no tax, and a side of fries. But, surprise, surprise, the final result is a hot mess. We're talking water seeping into other rooms, loose tiles, leaky toilets, and a space that's only fit for a dumpster. Sadly, we've seen this scenario play out way too often. The truth is, your home isn't the place to pinch pennies, especially when it comes to the bathroom. It's supposed to be your sanctuary, your happy place, not a room that makes you want to pull your hair out every time you see that loose tile staring back at you like a bad haircut. And let's not forget, the bathroom is like the heart of your home - if it's not functioning properly, the whole house can be affected. Plus, it's one of the most important rooms when it comes to selling your home. So, how do you avoid this renovation nightmare? Well, it's simple: don't hire the unlicensed, 'I'll take cash' guys. Some of them might do great work, but at the end of the day, if they're not legit, they're not worth the risk. And while we're at it, don't even think about buying cheap or used fixtures and materials. Quality might not be cheap, but it's worth every penny. We're fans of Moen faucets, and we swear by local plumbing suppliers - the big box stores just can't compete. Finally, hire a contractor who's got a name and reputation to stand behind. Someone who'll call in the experts when needed, and who'll give you a solid contract and scope of work. Someone who is willing to stand behind their work with a warranty. Don't be afraid to ask questions, and trust your instincts. Yes, a good contractor might cost you more upfront, but trust us, it's worth it in the long run. After all, you don't want to end up paying for the same job twice.
Of course we are a bit biased but maybe consider giving us a call at Warren & Co. Contracting
