Clarity Gold reports that the ongoing 2021 diamond drill program at the Destiny Project in the Abitibi is over halfway complete for the initially planned 10,000m program.

Highlights:

• Drilling is progressing, ~5,750 metres have been completed to date.

• Currently drilling the deepest hole on the Destiny Project at the DAC Zone, 950m target depth.

• Infill drilling will continue in the DAC Zone where two private lots were recently acquired.

The Abitibi throughout the years.

Exploration is easier at surface. Naturally, the majority of operating mines and significant gold occurrences in the Abitibi occur where there is minimal overburden cover.

By compiling available drill hole data we can visualize the concentration of known deposits and showings and observe they largely occur where overburden is thin.

But as mines deplete their resources, over the last few decades exploration strategies have adapted to begin looking for deposits undercover.

In this post, we can see the multiple mines along the Chicobi, as well as other deformation zones with multiple thicknesses of overburden as hosts of top-tier deposits.

The original Dome Mine located in the Porcupine district, was discovered in 1909 and still operates today.

The Porcupine district has produced more than 67 million ounces since 1910, producing 247 tons (7.9 million ounces) of high-grade ore its first year.

The Abitibi is still largely unexplored due to overburden, but technological improvements make advancements possible as time goes on.

This means that the magnificence of this region will continue shining for many more decades.

Corporate update:

To date, Clarity’s team has processed and dispatched samples from ~2,300m of drill core of the ongoing 10,000m planned drill program at the Destiny Project.

All of the completed holes in this program so far have intercepted the mineralized structure at or near expected depths.

The recently added second drill rig is focusing on drilling infill, and extension to depth in the GAP Zone.
