Gibraltar employees had a great time at the BIG on STEM career fair at Thompson Rivers University, connecting with students and fellow employers from across the region.
Students explored how copper concentrate is produced, from examining core samples, learning about drilling and blasting to seeing a mini ball mill in action and discovering how flotation separates copper minerals from waste rock.

Thank you to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Williams Lake and Cenovus Energy for organizing this fun event and giving students a hands on look at STEM careers.

In September, Florence Copper was pleased to participate in the Arizona District Export Council's Critical Minerals Financing Roundtable, which brought together leaders from industry, finance, and government to discuss strengthening North America's critical minerals supply chain.

The event provided valuable insights into the growing importance of critical minerals, investment opportunities, and the partnerships needed to support a secure and resilient future for domestic resource development.

Thank you to the Arizona District Export Council and the event organizers for inviting us to share more about Florence Copper and our role as the first major new source of domestic copper production in the United States in nearly two decades. Trekor and Xatśūll First Nation Mark 10th Year Anniversary of Salmon Sampling Program

Trekor and Gibraltar Mine were honoured to gather with members of the Xatśūll First Nation and local communities at the Xatśūll Cultural Heritage Village for the 2026 Fraser River Salmon Sampling Program, marking the program's 10th anniversary.

Since 2016, the partnership between Xatśūll First Nation, Gibraltar Mine, and Environmental Dynamics Inc. has provided valuable information about the health and nutrition of salmon harvested from Xatśūll traditional fishing sites along the Fraser River. Each year, the partners come together to collect samples, learn more about fish health, and enjoy a community BBQ.

The continuity of the program reflects the ongoing commitment of Xatśūll First Nation, Gibraltar Mine and Environmental Dynamics Inc. to salmon sampling and long-term data collection on the Fraser River. Ten years of sampling provides an important body of information that can help identify changes over time and contribute to a better understanding of the salmon harvested by Xatśūll members.

Trekor is proud of what the Fraser River Salmon Sampling Program has achieved over the past decade and grateful to Xatśūll First Nation for their ongoing contributions to its success.
